Find ski buddies in Anchorage

Anchorage has mountains in every direction. Hilltop is right in town for lessons and evening laps, Arctic Valley is a nonprofit hill run by a local ski club up in the Chugach, and Alyeska is south along Turnagain Arm in Girdwood, with steep terrain and heavy maritime snow. Short midwinter days give way to long spring light, so late season is a favourite time to ride. The backcountry around Turnagain Pass and Hatcher Pass draws plenty of locals too, and most riders here know each other through a friend of a friend.
