Child Safety Standards

Broski is an app for adults (18+) to find people to ski and snowboard with. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and for any behaviour that sexualises, grooms or endangers children.

What’s prohibited

Broski users must not, in the app or through contact made on it:

  • create, upload, share, request or link to child sexual abuse material;
  • sexualise minors in any way, including in text, images, or AI-generated or illustrated content;
  • groom, solicit, or attempt to meet a minor for sexual purposes;
  • engage in sextortion or trafficking of minors;
  • let anyone under 18 use Broski, or create an account on behalf of a minor.

These rules are part of our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

How we prevent it

  • Adults only: everyone must enter their date of birth when they sign up, and you can’t create an account if you’re under 18.
  • Your date of birth can’t be changed after sign-up, and each rider’s age is shown on their profile.
  • No unsolicited private messages: nobody can message you privately until you accept their request.
  • Report and block: every profile has in-app tools to report and block, and you can report events.

How to report

  • In the app, open the person’s profile, tap the ••• menu and choose Report.
  • Or email us at calebjmadgwick@gmail.com. Include the person’s name as it appears in Broski and what you saw, but don’t send us any images of abuse.

What we do

When we become aware of child sexual abuse or exploitation, or an account used by a minor, we:

  • remove the content and permanently ban the accounts involved;
  • report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities, such as the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs and NCMEC, as required by law;
  • preserve relevant information and cooperate with law enforcement investigations;
  • delete the accounts of anyone found to be under 18.

Compliance

We comply with applicable child safety laws, including New Zealand’s Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993, and the laws of the countries where Broski is available.
